Congratulations to Martin Swarbrick, who assumes the role of Chairman of the Safe America Foundation. The Safe America Foundation is a non-profit organization that partners with corporate, governmental, public and private organizations, and other nonprofits to save lives by emphasizing safety education and emergency preparedness. His primary focus will be to build a network of CEOs and C-suite executives who can lend their experience to improving safety and security at a grassroots level. “Having served as a Safe America Board member for over seven years, I am now honored and humbled to assume the role of Chairman,” he said in a press release. “We need to educate and prepare senior executives and family and community leaders. I want to help get this off the ground using the Safe America ‘CEO Network.’”The CEO Network was formed in 2012 to give senior executives the opportunity to learn from other executives who have weathered major crises such as hurricane devastation and terrorist attacks.

Swarbrick brings more than 25 years of senior management experience in various roles, including Vice President of Motorola’s Radio Products Group in Europe with operations in his native Ireland as well the United Kingdom. In the 1990s, he moved to the Chicago headquarters of Motorola and then served as President and CEO for eight years at a private company.
