For a global perspective, Dow Jones’ private equity editor Laura Kreutzer interviewed Hugh Shields, co-founder and principal from Shields Meneley Partners. Hugh provided Laura with key insights into what is typically a secretive process of how large private equity firms choose new leadership and what firms today need to do to ensure a smooth transition.
