Bernadette Patton has been named Partner in Shields Meneley Partners effective August 1, 2017. Patton will focus on business development and marketing to leverage her extensive experience in work-force related topics including global human resources and talent acquisition and development.
During her nearly 30 years of association experience, Patton has served as the Chief Staff Officer (President, Executive Director) of five stand-alone and managed organizations in interim, turnaround, and full-time assignments of local, state, national and international membership organizations in the airline, financial services, healthcare, human resources, business services and technology sectors.
Patton, frequently interviewed by the media on workforce-related topics, has presented to national and international industry audiences. She has authored numerous articles and served as a speaker and facilitator at events addressing industry, leadership and women’s issues. She is a member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago, The Chicagoland Chamber’s Board of Directors and The Dean’s Advisory Board of DePaul University’s College of Communication. In 2001, she was featured in Association Management, the national trade magazine of the American Society of Association Executives.
Patton holds a Bachelor of Arts in education from the University of Northern Iowa. She has attended programs at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and DePaul University. She completed the six-year U.S. Chamber program and the Institute for Organization Management at the University of Notre Dame.
